Confirmation Formation Program for teens
Families participating in Religious Education at St. Bernard are required to be registered parishioners who are active in the parish through stewardship and participation in our parish life. Attending Mass on Sundays, and on Holy Days, is a precept of the Catholic Church. All sacrament preparation students are required to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation in order to be eligible to receive the sacraments.
Confirmation Formation is a two-year preparation program. Teens who are in 10th-12th grade and are seeking the sacrament of Confirmation will need to register and attend both High School Formation youth group (two Sunday evenings a month), and the separate Confirmation Formation program. A year of consistent attendance in High School Religious Education is required prior to enrollment in the Confirmation Formation Program in year two.
Confirmation Formation Program for eligible teens is scheduled for July 14, 15. 16 and 17th, 2026 from 10-3pm each day. Registration is required. Students who complete the Confirmation Preparation Summer Program are required to attend High School Formation for the 2026-27 school year, as well as weekly Sunday Mass attendance, in order to be confirmed in the Spring of 2027.
Our Confirmation will be at St. Mary Cathedral in Lafayette- Date TBD.
